PRE element

HTML에서는 2칸 이상의 빈 칸은 모두 1칸과 같다고 했는데, PRE 안에서는 그렇지 않다. PRE 안에 입력한 내용은 그대로 화면에 출력된다. 즉, 공백이 그대로 출력되고, 한 문단 안에서 자동 줄넘김도 하지 않는다.

width 속성은 PRE element의 가로 폭을 나타내는 것으로 값인 number는 문자 수를 뜻하는데, 아직 브라우저들이 제대로 지원하지 않는다.
